The annual quest scavenger hunt is here! This is a week long scavenger hunt that teams of 2 students can participate in. Clues are emailed out each day at a different time (7 am, 4 pm or 7 pm) and students have to solve that clue to move to the next day. There will be some high stakes prizes for the winners! Sign ups are Monday march 24th at the OSE desk at 4 pm and the scavenger hunt goes from Monday, March 31st to Friday, April 4th.

On Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 PM, Dr. Kevin H. Gary of Hillsdale College will speak on “Boredom and the Good Life” in Frey 110. Dr. Gary is an Associate Professor of Education at Hillsdale College. Before coming to Hillsdale, he taught at Valparaiso University and Goshen College, and was a high school theology teacher before that. What constitutes a good life is the central question that animates his scholarship and teaching. He is the author of Why Boredom Matters: Education, Leisure, and the Quest for a Meaningful Life (Cambridge University Press, 2022), among other publications. Dr. Gary is passionate about liberal education as foundational for the preparation of good teachers, wise parents, and thoughtful citizens, as it aims to cultivate prudence, compassion, and a Renaissance spirit. This lecture is co-sponsored by the Ernest L. Boyer Center and the Honors Program.
